Why do message queue-based architectures seem less popular now?

Message queue-based architectures seem less popular now for several reasons. Firstly, single machines have become immensely powerful, reducing the need for distributed complexity. Secondly, improvements in hardware and databases have lowered the necessity for such architectures. Additionally, simpler solutions like Redis and improved database handling for transient state have largely taken over the use cases initially served by message queues. Lastly, while the technology has matured and is still in use, it's not as hyped or widely discussed as before.
