It appears LinkedIn occasionally prompts ID verification for security reasons, especially when a profile photo is changed. Many users express frustration with this process and suggest trying LinkedIn's "compromised account" form for additional support. Unfortunately, LinkedIn support generally requires logging in, making it difficult. Currently, there is no widely known alternative support link.
